Bridget Fitzgerald is a graduate of Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health with a Masters in Global Health with a concentration in community health development. She holds a graduate certificate in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies. Bridget has a background in EMS, previously working as an EMT in Virginia with the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad for 5 years. Before joining CEPAR, she worked as an Emergency Management Specialist contractor, and ORISE Fellow with CDC’s Emergency Response and Capacity Team in the Emergency Response and Recovery Branch. Bridget is a published author in the Journal of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine for her work with the CDC’s Center for Global Health. 

Bridget grew up in northern Virginia and currently lives in Atlanta. In her free time, Bridget enjoys hiking, yoga, reading, cooking, acting, and spending time with her family and friends. Bridget also enjoys theater and fostering dogs!
